- Have been associate editor at the Scandinavian
Journal of Economics, board member of European Finance Association, chairman
of the Danish Economic Association (Nationaløkonomisk Forening), chairman of
"Forum for Industrial Development" (a Think Tank), chairman of the Nordic
Economic Research Council, deputy chairman of The Danish National Research
Foundation, and chairman of the Danish "depositor guarantee fund" (a deposit
insurance scheme for bank and saving bank deposits). Member of ATV (The
Academy for the Technical Sciences). Non-executive board member of several
corporations (Danske Bank, Grundfos, Otto Mønsted, Oticon Foundation, Cowi
Foundation).
- Have been involved in public service as a member
of a number of governmental committees: A governmental committee on capital
income taxation ("Renteskatteudvalget"), a committee organized and financed
by the Association of Saving Banks to develop a tax reform proposal,
chairman of a governmental committee on wealth taxation, one of three
members appointed by the Minister of Energy to examine the Danish natural
gas project, a committee appointed by the Minister of Agriculture to
evaluate the regulation of the Danish agricultural sector (financing,
ownership structure etc.), member of the advisory council for tax
legislation (Skattelovrådet), have for the Minister of Housing developed a
"policy proposal" for improved rent regulation in business rent contracts,
member of The Energy Advisory Board, chairman of a governmental committee on
industrial injury insurance, and member of a governmental committee on the
optimal regulation of the market for rented housing and rented business
premises.
